Dr. Shah has been practicing Phlebology, Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Care for over 6 years. He is a board certified physician specializing in the treatment of chronic venous disease and venous ulcers.
He is highly experienced in treating patients with venous disorders, including patients with lower extremity venous ulcers. He is the founder of Center for Vein Wellness, a leading vein treatment center concentrating exclusively in the diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins and other venous disorders.

Dr. Shah is a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, formerly the American Board of Phlebology. He is one of the few physicians nationwide who is certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, demonstrating expertise in the understanding and treatment of venous conditions. In 2005, the American Medical Association (AMA) recognized Phlebology as a separate self-designated specialty. The American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine was established in 2007 to improve the standards of medical practitioners and the quality of care related to the treatment of venous disease. He is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI), certified by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Dr Shah is a diplomate of the American Board of Wound Management and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP) and is also certified in Hyperbaric Medicine. He is recognized as a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association.
Dr Shah serves as a Medical Director for the Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Healing Center at St John’s Hospitals in Camarillo and Oxnard since 2013. The center is a recipient of the Center for Excellence Award in 2015. He also serves as a Medical Director for the Hyperbaric Center for Advanced Healing Inc., in Woodland Hills, which provides hyperbaric oxygen therapy for many acute and chronic conditions.
Dr Shah completed his internship in General Surgery at University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University, in New York. His research has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology, American Professional Wound Care Association and American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr Shah currently serves as a Board Member for the St John’s Healthcare Foundation. He is also a co-founder of the Advantage Hospitalists Group, which provides in-patient care to medical and critically ill patients at St. John’s Regional Medical Center (Oxnard), and St John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital (Camarillo). He is an active staff member at St John’s Regional Medical Center (Oxnard), St John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital (Camarillo) and Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center (Thousand Oaks).
